Panchakarma
is a purification and rejuvenation program involving a series of specialized treatments specifically tailored to your mind body type. There are three essential components to the Panchakarma process.
Ayurveda Massage Therapy
Abhyanga therapy is an ancient practice which
predicates the Vedic period. The abhyaga is a friction massage using warm herbalized oil which is performed
by therapists in synchrony. It is followed by a hot towel treatment. As the oil is massaged into the skin, it penetrates deep into the tissues and starts to
loosen toxins, which are fat soluble, at the cellular level. The abhyanga enhances immunity, increased circulation and creates deep relaxation in the body
and mind. Ayurvedic massage is based on the knowledge of marma points, the vital points of the body where structures pulsate and pain exists.
Shirodhara
The shirodhara is a profoundly relaxing treatment in which a soothing stream of warm oil is poured over the forehead. It calms the nervous system and
integrates mind and body.
Udvartna
Udvartna is a full body herbal paste massage administered by therapists followed by a towel rubdown. Its purpose is to draw out excess fluids, drain the
lymphatics, stimulate circulation and exfoliate the body.
Ayurvedic Love Therapy Snehna
The entire body is made up of unctuous substance and all of life depends upon them. The meaning of the sanskrit word sneha conveys stupendous love
and immense tenderness, the essential spirit imbued in human nature, snehana therapy is meant to
invoke these deeply imbedded codes of our nature
and reawaken our cognitive memories. The main emphasis of this therapy is an elating, anointing, lubricating and caressing both the internal and external body.
Swedana
The swedana is an herbal steam treatment which helps mobilize toxicity or ama in the physiology. It opens the channels of circulation (srotas) that
helps impurities to move into the gastrointestinal tract to be
eliminated. In addition, the Swedana relaxes the body, reduces tension and allows toxins
to be eliminated through the sweat glands.
Shiro-abhyanga-nasya
The SAN is a thorough head, face, neck and shoulder massage followed by an herbal stream treatment, hot towel treatment and gentle herbal drops for the nasal passages. The SAN brings clarity to the mind and relieves tension and congestion.
Netra - Tarpana
Netra-Tarpana is a specialized eye treatment which is a cleaning process of eyes which gives cooling effect, prevents cataract and strengthens the optic
nerve and improves sight.
Vamana Karma
Vamana is the procedure to eliminate the waste product (vitiated dosha) through the upper gastro-intestinal track. It is the cleansing procedure, which
expels doshas, particularly the augmented kapha.
By this treatment, vitiated kapha dosha is totally
eliminated from its roots (stomach) through the mouth.
Virechana Karma
This karma aims to eliminate doshas that cannot be removed by Vamana Karma such as the Kidneys, lungs and sweat glands.
Elimination of vitiated doshas through rectum is called virechana. It cleanses the small intestine and the organs, which are pitta dominant.
